13th Picture On My Phone

It was a chill october night. The music was thumping, people dancing. The dance floor was sticky from all the drinks sloshing. I watched my newlywed cousin stand on the outside of the dance floor watching his mom and dad, family and friends party there lives away as he spent a romantic moment with his new wife. It truly was a whimsical night. I looked over at my sister sitting next to me as she was tying to get me to dance. Her persuasive attempt worked and I found myself getting up from our flamboyant table to dance my butt off to "Jump On It". It was a lyrical moment.
That afternoon I watched my cousin and his fiances earthly wedding. it was a mountain scenery and as the bride walked down the aisle , the birds began to chirp. It was a cinematic moment. My sister and I turned to look at each other and found us both start to laugh at our ironically, emotional tears, as we weren't usually the "criers" of the family. As they took the rings from their bridal party, they gave their vows-then spoke of the evocative time they met. They turned and looked at each other with tears in their eyes and said the famous words "i do". After that, my cousin decided to announce "who's ready to party?!" as the crowd laughed, his newly wed blushed in embarrassment while chuckling.
After that it was a whimsical night. Times ill never forget. I heard a lot of laughter and my cousin saying to my sisters "who wants shots?" and my sisters saying back "dont tell mom!" The night was full of memories and i couldn't have been more perfect. It was a wedding ill never forget.

Riddle (Pearl)

I am tiny.
A spec among millions,
enclosed by a hard outer wing.
My home doesn't want me.
It builds layers upon me;
To remove my irritating presence,
and so I grow.
Although i cant see it, the moon lies above me.
One day ill be birthed to the world,
and beautifully ill be worn

Imagery Through Senses(Alan Weisman )

Rachel Vallario
Coach Morrell
English IV
October 3 2012
The author of this passage uses imagery a lot though different senses. Some examples with senses are touch, hearing, and smell. The author, Alan Weisman uses those senses to describe certain topics in his writings.
An example used with imagery with touch is on page 176. “Glide over the bulrushes in perfect formation, touching down so lightly that they detonate no land mines.” Alan Weisman uses touch in his imagery by showing how the bird landed on land mines.  Another example is “a dry lighting strike, igniting decades of uncut, knee-high central park grass, would spread flames through town.” He uses dry to describe the lightning strike and then the touch of uncut grass in central park.
The author shows taste in imagery also. He shows it on page 178.  “The time bombs left petroleum tanks, chemical plants, power plants and dry- cleaning plants might poison the earth beneath them for eons”.  The earth consumes or tastes all the poisonous toxins which the author says will eventually kill the earth.
The author shows a lot of sight in the imagery that he used. One example is “as water sluiced away soil beneath pavement, streets would crater.” It paints a picture in my head of what would happen if humans were not on earth anymore. Another example is “otters, Asiatic black bears, musk deer and the nearly vanquished Amur leopard would spread into slopes forested with young daimyo oak and bird cherry.” He describes each animal exact so I know what animal he is describing.
The author shows a lot of imagery that involve some of the 5 senses. Some examples with senses are touch, hearing, and smell. His goal was to describe what he was imagining in his head to me so I could understand and picture what he was thinking also.

Guide Through Hell

I would choose my grandpa to guide me through he'll because he was a very intellagent man and would keep me safe. He would be a good guide also  because he is a very sneaky, creative person who would know what to do in a bad situation. My grandpa would alway be there to protect me so that is why I would choose him as my guide through hell.
